GROOVERは昔に見た近未来をデザインすることが多いのですが、このTHE ONEもそんな抽象的なイメージから誕生したモデルです。柔らかさと角張った要素を構成しながら、ダブルリングを構造を採用しました。

８mm厚のアセテート素材を採用し大胆に削り出したことも、レトロでありながら未来を感じさせるものとなっています。THE ONEに施されたカッティングは、GYARDの職人技の粋を集結した見どころいっぱいのモデルです。恐らくこのようなカッティングをハンドシェイプやマシンシェイプで実現できる工場は世界広しと言えど、GYARDしかないでしょう。
